technical difficulties

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

The episode that was planned for this week, may be delayed due to technical difficulties.  I arrived home tonight to find the hard drive of my desktop PC emitting a very high pitched tone.  This was not healthy.  Now my system refuses to boot under normal circumstances.  The issue is undergoing troubleshooting right now and a solution should be reached shortly.  No parts should have to be ordered as I had already received a replacement hard drive for the system.  Hopefully in a couple days time it will be up and running and will impact the show and it’s wonderful announcements by no more than a day.

Thanks again.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

To all our American viewers, Happy Thanksgiving.

To all other viewers:

I sincerely want you to take time out of your day today to sit with, or call, a family member or good friend and let them know that you care about them and that you are thankful to have them in your life.  It would be even more rewarding if it were someone you hadn’t talked to in a while.  Do this about 5 times today and see if it doesn’t improve your day and lift your spirits.

Thanksgiving week

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Hey guys and gals. There won’t be an episode of The Dboi Show this week. It’s going to be a crazy, hectic week and I don’t want to short change you. We are taking suggestions for a new show to start before the end of the year. Anything you want. If it’s not geeky, we’ll put a geek spin on it. Trust me. And you might even get to see the faces behind the plural pronouns I use. We’re working on that. Everything is sort of secret stuff right now. Trust me, when it launches, it’s gonna be huge. AND you’ll wanna be there in the beginning. Trust me!

Giveaways:

DVD review: Catwoman

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I know what you’re thinking…

“man, he’s really gonna tear this movie a new one..”

LOL. Wrong.

I think the largest problem with the Catwoman movie was that it was made in the wrong decade. It should have been out during 1993. It would have done well. It’s cheese level was a lot more acceptable then.
And I’ll actually take this time to make another comment on another Superhero movie. Batman & Robin. Seriously? Catwoman is a far superior movie to Batman & Robin. It is extraordinarily hard to watch those movies and then go into Batman: Dark Knight. Staggering. With the new Watchmen movie coming up, a lot of Superhero movies are going to have that bar raised pretty high.
Another release right around the corner is Punisher: War Zone. The recent Punisher movie and most of it’s predecessors failed terribly… but now we have seen some masterpieces out of Marvel comics, so I’m hopeful.

The Delay in Episodes

Monday, November 10th, 2008

The current delay in episodes is unfortunately caused by unpacking and choosing exactly where to set up the camera and microphone. I’m commuting to my second job now, almost an hour one way. More than likely my next day spent entirely at the doyleclark.com office will produce an episode. The last three days spent here, were spent packing, moving, and unpacking. Sorry guys, but once we’re settled in this time, everything should be like clockwork.

The great migration

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

So I’ve been undergoing the great migration back to the home I grew up in.  It’s been stressful and hard, but it’s almost over.  Don’t get too excited yet, because it will still be a couple days before I am able to get things ready to tape an episode of the show.  Soon.
